20th Foundation Day of BJD

Serve masters of democracy with simplicity: Naveen

Puri: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday advised the party workers to serve people with simplicity as they are the ultimate masters in a democracy.

Simple living and high thinking should be our policy as it connects to the masses and holds paramount importance in public life,” said Patnaik while addressing a huge gathering on occasion of the 20th Foundation Day of BJD at Puri.

Simplicity has its own power which connects to masses. In the words of Dr Kalam, truth and simplicity self-maintained without any cost. Simplicity is paramount in public life. It should be our motto in life,” he added.

So, address people’s problems with a sympathetic attitude. People are our ultimate master.  So serve them with all humility and fulfil the promises made to them,” said Patnaik.

Patnaik said there is no value of power, prestige and property in comparison to the love of people.

Naveen also remembered Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Utkal Gourav Madhusudhan Das and Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das on the occasion and said they have touched people’s heart by self-less service and self-sacrifice. He advised all to follow the footprint of these three great men.

The BJD president said that his party has turned to be a ‘social revolution’ in the last 20 years.
