Ajoy Kumar Behera joins as ECoR Principal Chief Commercial Manager

Bhubaneswar: Ajoy Kumar Behera has taken over the charge of Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM), East Coast Railway.

He is an alumnus of Delhi University (MSc. Physics). He joined the Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS) from the 1986 batch of Indian Civil Services.

Prior to this post, Behera worked as the Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM), Eastern Railway, Kolkata. He was posted earlier as Executive Director Traffic Transportation/Railway Board.

He has wide experience in bulk transportation, especially in the iron and steel sector from his earlier postings on South Eastern Railway.

He has also worked as SDGM and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO)/Eastern Railway and on various important assignments on South Eastern Railway.

He was also on deputation with CONCOR as the Chief General Manager of Eastern Region in Kolkata between 2005 to 2010.

He has a keen interest in Multi-Modal Transportation and Logistics Parks.

Behera is the youngest son of eminent writer and ex-Vice Chancellor of Sambalpur University Late Bhubaneswar Behera.
