Case against Dharmendra Pradhan for giving life threat to BJP worker

Odisha govt trying to destroy evidence in Kunduli rape case: Pradhan

Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday alleged that the Odisha government is trying to cover-up the Kunduli rape and suicide case by attempting to destroy evidence.

“Odisha government has failed to give justice to the minor girl and has destroyed the evidence. This attitude reeks of sheer arrogance,” said Pradhan.

He reiterated his allegation that the state government is fully responsible for the suicide of Kunduli gang-rape victim and sought a CBI probe into the incident.

He lamented that the government could not provide protection to the victim.

He alleged that the DGP offered her Rs 90,000 to keep mum about the rape and she was put in a hospital for treatment of mental disorder while she was mentally sound.

“The state government is fully responsible for the suicide of the Kunduli gang rape. As the judicial probe ordered by this government in many earlier cases have not yielded any result, the Kunduli incident should be probed by the CBI immediately,” demanded Pradhan.
