Budget session of Odisha Assembly to begin from March 20

Bhubaneswar: The budget session of Odisha Assembly will commence in two phases from March 20.

According to a notification, the first phase of the session will begin from March 20 to March 31 while the second phase session would begin from April 11 to May 5.

The budget session of the state assembly will commence from March 20 with Governor S.C. Jamir’s address followed by motion of thanks on Governor’s address.

Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera would present the budget for 2018-19 on March 23.

The session is likely to be stormy as opposition BJP and Congress would raise several issues including Kunduli gang rape and suicide issue, farmers’ problem, drinking water problem etc.
