Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said that the gruelling heat weather condition will continue for few more days in Odisha.
“The day temperature will remain almost the same across the state till March 12, while it will increase up to 40°C during March 13 and 14,” said director of Bhubaneswar Met Centre Sarat Chandra Sahu.
Sahu said the mercury level will drop in some places in between March 15 and 17 as there is a possibility of a thunderstorm.
Sonepur town recorded the maximum temperature of 38.6 degree Celsius and became the hottest place in the state.
The temperature at Malkangiri was 37.6°C, while 37.4°C was recorded at Talcher, 37°C each at Bhawanipatna and Sundergarh.
