Odisha govt announces amnesty scheme for unauthorized buildings


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday announced a scheme for Regularisation of Unauthorised Constructions 2018.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Niranjan Pujari announced the amnesty scheme under which unauthorised constructions can be regularised by paying specific fees along with submission of building construction plan and fire clearance certificate.

The Minister said the fines have to be deposited for deviations in CDP Infrastructure Development Fund.

The state government will provide six months time period to allow unauthorised buildings to get approval for regularisation.

Owners will have to apply before the development authorities concerned in their region with the fees to be prescribed in Odisha Development Authorities Common Application Form.

The owners will have to submit four copies of building plans as per actual construction site showing site plan, layout plan, floor plan, four side elevations, drainage and sewerage disposal plan duly signed by the plot owner or development authority and the architect or technical persons as per the provisions of planning and building standards regulations of respective development authorities.

They will also submit ownership copy of the land, site inspection report, fire safety clearance, structural safety clearance and other necessary clearances.
