Puri: JSPL Foundation, the CSR Arm of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), served devotees during the grand Rath Yatra festival at Puri.
The foundation targets to provide 50000 freshly pure vegetarian meals during the 10 days Rath Yatra festival.
JSPL Foundation has served more than 10000 devotees on Netrostav Day on 13th February and Rath Yatra day.
In coordination with the district administration, the Foundation also distributed 7000 packets of Glucose among the devotees at Badadanda on Rath Yatra.
Devotees are served freshly cooked rice, Dalma (a medley of lentil and vegetables) and Khatta (condiment made from raw mangoes) at East Coast Railway Shramik Union office campus, near the Railway Station.
People from various walks of life across India enjoyed the freshly cooked food and appreciated the efforts of JSPL Foundation.
The Glucose Packets were handed over to the Executive Engineer of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWSS), Puri by Prashant Kumar Hota, General Secretary of JSPL Foundation and Group CSR Head of JSPL.
These packets were given to the devotees at Badadanda during Rath Yatra.
In addition to these, devotees were also served chilled drinking water from a refrigerated mobile drinking water tanker of 1000 litre capacity engaged by the Foundation.
The cooked food distribution service will continue on Bahuda Yatra day and Sunabesha day. The mobile drinking water tanker will continue to dispense chilled water throughout all days till Sunabesha day.
