Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted rain and thundershower at several places in Odisha in next 24 hours.
Rainfall and thundershower are likely to occur at many places over the districts of Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi and at a few places over rest districts of Odisha, said the met department.
It also predicted rain/ thundershower at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Koraput, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj and at a few places over rest districts of Odisha on Tuesday.
The average rainfall of the state recorded on Monday for the last 24 hours is 11.6 mm.
Six districts have received an average rainfall of above 20mm. The districts are Deogarh-24.8 mm, Boudh and Kendrapara-24.1 mm, Rayagada-22.8 mm, Khordha-22.7 mm and Jharsuguda-20.1 mm.
Average rainfall in remaining 24 districts remained below 20 mm during past 24 hours.
