Doctor killed in road accident in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a doctor was killed after being run over by a private bus near Chandrasekharpur Petrol Pump in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

The Physician, identified as Dr Basant Rout, was practising as a medicine specialist in Angul.

The incident occurred when the victim was walking towards Jayadev Vihar and a bus ran over him killing him on the spot. Following the incident, the bus driver and conductor fled the spot. Enraged over the incident, irate locals vandalized the bus by breaking its windows and blocked the road to Omfed Chhak.

Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police reached the accident spot and managed to pacify to the irate mob.
