Odisha 10th exam pattern to change from 2020-21


Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has decided to bring major reforms in the conduct of the 10th examination from the 2020-21 academic session.

As per the decision, the examination pattern of matriculation examination will be changed and a new pattern will be implemented from the 2020-21 session.

The OMR sheet and multiple choice questions will be abolished from the 2020-21 academic session. Instead, objective questions of 50 marks and subjective type questions of 50 marks will feature in the question booklet, informed BSE president Jahanara Begum.

The BSE president said a student will have to secure 15 marks each in the objective and subjective category to pass in a particular subject.

The BSE has also introduced a minor reform in the 10th exam for 2019 academic session.

It has decided to prepare four sets of question papers from next year instead of the existing three sets.

The question pattern for Class-IX students will be same as the one proposed to be implemented from 2020-21 session, she said.
