Youth arrested for posting objectionable photos of woman on Facebook

Sundargarh: A youth was on Friday arrested in Odisha’s Sundargarh district for allegedly posting morphed and objectionable photos of a young woman on social media platform Facebook.

The Kinjirkela police arrested Pradip Tirkey of Khamarimunda village for allegedly posting objectionable photos of the young woman.

Pradip had befriended a woman of Rourkela on Facebook. After a few days, he downloaded her photos from her profile and morphed those into objectionable and obscene ones. Later, he uploaded the photos on his profile, said reports.

After the woman noticed the photos on Facebook, she lodged a complaint with Kinjirkela police the next day.

Acting on the complaint, police have arrested the youth from his village.
