Bhubaneswar:Utkal University on Wednesday postponed all examinations scheduled to be held on February 21 in view of all Odisha bandh called by the Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS).
The University authorities said the re-examination schedule will be notified later on.
Notably, NNKS on Wednesday informed that it will not withdraw from its Odisha bandh call on February 21 even though the state government appealed it to desist from the shutdown.
The government said that the shutdown might affect students during their annual matric examinations beginning February 22.
National Convenor of NNKS, Akshay Kumar the 10th examination is scheduled to begin a day after the bandh, which in no way is going to affect the students and teachers.
The opposition Congress and BJP have also
extended their support to the bandh call.
