Bhubaneswar: Annual Plus II examinations, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), began across Odisha on Thursday.
The Plus II exams in the streams of Arts, Science and Commerce began amid tight security.The examination will continue till March 30.
As many as 3.69 lakh students have been enrolled to appear for the exams at 1091 centers across the state.Science and Commerce students are writing exams in their MIL subject on the first day.
Of the total number of students, 2,35,183 are from the Arts stream, 99,018 from Science, 27,278 from Commerce and 8,058 from Vocational Education.
The CHSE has decided to conduct the exams under CCTV camera surveillance to prevent question paper leak. However, 140 centres have failed to install CCTV cameras and those centres will be treated as sensitive ones, an official of the CHSE said.

ensure incident-free Plus II examinations, in light of question papers going
viral on social media and reports of rampant malpractices at some centres
during the ongoing annual High School Certificate exams in the state.
