Bhubaneswar: Following request of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday extended the registration date for Odisha students appearing for JEE (Advanced) 2019 till May 14.
“IIT Bhubaneswar will help the JEE (Advanced) aspirants in Odisha for online registration as it has fully functional internet connection. As declared earlier JEE (Advanced) for all students will be held on May 27, 2019,” tweeted Javadekar.
Earlier on Tuesday, Naveen Patnaik requested the Centre to extend the registration date of JEE Advanced Exam by at least 10 days in the aftermath of cyclone Fani.
The Chief Minister informed that due to non-availability of Internet at many locations in Odisha after Fani, the brilliant Odia students have not been able to register their names online.
The JEE (Advanced) 2019 to get admission into IlTs will be held on May 29 this year. The eligible candidates have to register their names online. The period of registration is from May 3 to May 9.
