Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated him for the stupendous victory of BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha elections.
Chief Minister spoke to Prime Minister over the telephone and congratulated him for the huge victory.
Modi also congratulated the Odisha CM for BJD’s victory in the state assembly elections.
BJD was leading in 114 seats out of a total of 146 seats in Odisha.
BJP was leading in 20 seats in the Assembly election becoming the second largest party.
The BJP appeared set for major gains in
Lok Sabha polls in Odisha with its candidates leading in nine seats, while the
ruling BJD is ahead in 12.
