New medical college at Phulbani in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced to establish a new medical college at Phulbani.

The Phulbani medical college will have 500 beds.

“I am happy to announce that a government medical college and hospital would be set up at district headquarters hospital, Phulbani. The number of beds would be increased to 500 for the aforesaid purpose and a composite campus would be planned,” said the Chief Minister.

The announcement came after the visit of the Mo Sarkar team to six districts.  

On his birthday, the Chief Minister also announced several other measures to boost up the health infrastructure in the state.
