Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported its second COVID-19 death, said the Health Department on Wednesday.
A 77-year-old male COVID-19 patient of Madhusudan Nagar, Bhubaneswar died of the disease while undergoing treatment at KIMS.
“Sorry to inform that 77 year old, male COVID positive case of Madhusudan Nagar, Bhubaneshwar who had underlying co-morbidities of hypertension, diabetes and kidney disease expired yesterday at KIMS,” tweeted the Health Department.
Odisha had reported its first COVID-19 fatality on April 6 when a 72-year-old man from the Jharpada area of Bhubaneswar, who was infected with the deadly virus, died during treatment at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 positive cases rose to 177 in Odisha.
