Special AC Express train leaves for New Delhi


Bhubaneswar: Special AC Express train left for New Delhi from Bhubaneswar at 10 AM on Wednesday with 527 passengers while around 400 passengers expected to board en route on nominated stations.

The special train is fully air-conditioned with one First AC, two AC 2- and eleven 3-Tier coaches.

Tickets were only booked online through the IRCTC portal. Passengers were asked to bring their own food and blankets for reasons of convenience.

Only those who had a confirmed ticket were allowed into the station. All the passengers were allowed to board the Train with strict adherence to proper social distancing thermal scanning. 

All the passengers wore masks. Foot operated hand sanitizers were provided at the entry gate. 

Railway personnel made special arrangements for the passengers, including marking social distancing spaces so that passengers could move forward in an orderly manner by maintaining proper social distancing.

Senior officers of Khurda Road Division, East Coast Railway led by Ashok Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager supervised the entire process.  There was tight security all over the station area.

All the passengers boarded the train comfortably.  All passengers appeared to be in an enthusiastic and high-spirited mood and thanked Indian Railways for enabling them to go home.
