Action against hospitals not admitting patients from hotspot districts

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday warned of taking action against hospitals for denying treatment to patients on the ground that they were from hotspot districts.

“Patients needing medicare at hospitals/clinics need urgent attention. Instances have come of some pvt hospitals reluctant in admitting patients from hotspots districts. It’s ethically wrong and illegal. Be informed Govt action against wrongdoers will be serious,” tweeted the Chief Secretary.
