New bank timing during lockdown in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has asked the banks to reschedule their working hours during the lockdown period in four districts one municipal corporation.

Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has asked all banks in Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, Jajpur districts and Rourkela Municipal Corporation to function with 50% manpower from 8 am to 2 pm with customer service hours from 8 am to 1 pm.

The banks were allowed to operate with 50% of their staff strength to avoid heavy rush in bank premises and ensure proper physical distancing.

The district administrations and local police will provide the required support to the banks to ensure proper physical distancing where required, the order mentioned.
