Bhubaneswar: As many as 1379 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Odisha during the last 24 hours, informed the health department on Sunday.
Out of the fresh cases, 808 were detected in quarantine while 571 are local contact cases.
Sundargarh reported maximum 317 cases, followed by Khordha (158), Sambalpur (86), Nuapada (90), Nabarangpur (71), Bargarh (68), Cuttack (56), Bolangir (54), Mayurbhanj (49), Puri (43), and Jharsuguda (42).
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state mounted to 349561. The active Covid-19 caseload surged to 7,979.
