Odisha records fresh 3144 Covid cases, 4 deaths

Bhubaneswar: The COVID tally in Odisha mounted to 3,64,594 on Saturday as 3144 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The state also reported 4 more deaths due to COVID-19 in last 24 hours as the toll touched 1942.

One death each was reported from Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi and Sambalpur districts.

Of the new cases, 1823 are from quarantine and 1321 are local contact cases.

Sundargarh recorded highest 523 cases followed by Khordha (497) and Nuapada (395).

The number of active cases in the state surged to 19,077.
