Odisha reports huge spike in Covid cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported a huge spike in Covid-19 positive cases with 8386 new cases in the last 24 hours, informed the health department on Wednesday.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state mounted to 428515.

As many as 10 persons succumbed to Covid-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

Of the fresh cases, 4781 cases were from quarantine while 3605 were local contacts.

Khurda district registered a mammoth 1840 fresh cases, followed by Sundargarh (933), Cuttack (496), Jharsuguda (433).
