CUO pays rich tribute to its former VC Prof I Ramabrahmam

The Central University of Odisha paid rich tribute to its former Vice-Chancellor Prof. I. Ramabrahmam at the University campus on the occasion of observing his 1^st death anniversary.

Along with all the staff Prof. S. K. Palita, Vice-Chancellor I/c., Prof. Asit Kumar Das, Registrar; Mr. K. Kosala Rao, Finance Officer offered floral tribute on the portrait of Prof. Ramabrahmam. A two minutes silence was observed to pay respect in honor of the departed soul.

A meeting was organized under the Chairmanship of Prof. S. K. Palita, Vice-Chancellor (I/C) and spoke on this occasion. In his address he said “Prof. Ramabrahmam was a man of action, a true leader, a prominent educationist and a great social thinker and policy maker. He tried his best and had planned a lot to develop this University during his short period of time”. He also said “Our hard work towards the development of the University will be great tribute to Prof. Ramabrahmam”. 

Prof. Asit Kumar Das, Registrar; Dr. Ramendra Kumar Parhi, DSW I/c.; Dr. Kapila Khemundu, HoD I/c. Sociology; Dr. Minati Sahu, HoD I/c. Economics; Dr. Phagunath Bhoi, PRO, Shri Sudhakar Patnaik, OIC also spoke on this occasion. Eminent academician Prof. Ramabrahmam joined the University on 06 December 2019 and he passed away on 28 July 2021.
