Modi’s visit to Odisha: BJP in jubilant mode

PM Modi likely to attend launching event of Vande Bharat train in Puri

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to grace the launching event of the much-anticipated Vande Bharat express train in Puri.

This news was shared by the State BJP general secretary, Prithiviraj Harichandan, who expressed his confidence in the Prime Minister’s presence at the inauguration ceremony.

Although the specific date for the event is yet to be finalized, Harichandan mentioned that the unveiling of the Vande Bharat train will take place before Rath Yatra 2023.

This auspicious occasion holds great significance for the people of Odisha, making it an ideal time to introduce the state-of-the-art train.

The Vande Bharat express has been generating buzz and anticipation since its announcement. Indian Railways conducted a successful trial run of the train last month, covering the distance between Howrah in West Bengal and Puri in Odisha. The trial run served as a testament to the train’s advanced features, superior speed, and enhanced passenger experience.

The upcoming launch of the Vande Bharat train in Puri aligns with the government’s commitment to modernizing the country’s railway infrastructure and providing world-class facilities to passengers. This technologically advanced train is equipped with several state-of-the-art features, including automatic doors, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS-based passenger information systems, and improved seating arrangements. Its aerodynamic design ensures a smooth and comfortable journey while significantly reducing travel time.

The Naveen Patnaik government has also voiced its demands for the introduction of Vande Bharat express trains on two more routes within the state. These routes include Bhubaneswar-Hyderabad and Puri-Rourkela.

The expansion of the Vande Bharat train services will not only enhance connectivity but also contribute to the economic growth of these regions.
