Rourkela Assistant Collector found dead

Rourkela: Rourkela Assistant Collector Sushmita Minz (35) was found dead in a pond at Sensory Park here on Tuesday.

The Plantsite police recovered the body for post-mortem and handed it over to her family members after autopsy.

An unnatural death case has been registered in this connection while further probe was underway.

Meanwhile, the family members alleged that she has been murdered.

As per the allegation by the deceased’s mother, Susmita was tense about her work for some days and the senior authorities including the Collector were putting huge pressure on her regarding the office work.

Sources said, Susmita came to duty on Saturday. However, she didn’t return home. Her family members had lodged a missing complaint at the police station on Sunday. Later on Tuesday, she was found dead at the park.
