SOA Engineering and Management Faculties, five departments of SUM Hospital get Times Now Business Excellence Award

Bhubaneswar: Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) and Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), faculties of engineering and management sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University here, have been presented the Times Now Business Excellence Award (East) for 2024 after being chosen as the best in eastern region.
Besides, five departments of the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, faculty of medicine of SOA, were chosen as the best in Odisha.
The awards were presented at a hotel in Kolkata on Wednesday by Bollywood actor and social activist Sonu Sood, actor Parambrata Chatterjee and Director of Alliance Francaise du Bengale Nicolas Facino. The luminaries heaped
praise on SOA for its endeavour to attain excellence in its academic pursuit and
healthcare initiatives.
The departments of IMS and SUM Hospital chosen for the honour included Oncology, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Urology, Neurology and Nephrology.
SOA’s Controller of Examination Prof. Manjula Das and Public Relations Officer Ms. Subhadarshini Mishra were present to receive the awards.
Several dignitaries including Mr. Aditya V. Agarwal, Director of Emami Group, Mr. Harshvardhan Neotia, Chairman of Ambuja Neotia Group, Mr. Rana Udayan Lahiri, Managing Director for Medica Group of Hospitals, Prof. Partha Pratim Chakraborty, former Director of IIT, Kharagpur, Mr. Rohit Chaddha, President and Chief Operating Officer, Times Network and Mr. Biman Dutta, Assistant Vice-President, Times Network were present.
