New Delhi: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has been admitted to AIIMS-Delhi after his health deteriorated on Monday night.
Oram had tested positive for dengue on August 11.
He was admitted around 9 pm in the new private ward under Dr Anant Mohan, head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders, said sources.
His condition is stated to be stable.
Notably, Jual had lost his wife, Jhingia Oram, to dengue on August 17.
The 58-year-old was undergoing treatment for dengue and other complications for the eight days at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Jual after his return from Delhi also tested positive for dengue and was admitted to the same hospital.
Meanwhile, CPI-M general secretary Sitaram Yechury was also admitted to emergency department of AIIMS after he complained of a high fever last evening. He had gone for a checkup, and was admitted due to pneumonia.
