Election manifesto: BJP govt starts process filling up vacant posts in Odisha  


Bhubaneswar: The BJP government in Odisha led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has prepared an action plan to fulfill 35,000 posts in next four months.

The government will hand over appointment letters by organizing Nijukti Melas from September this year.

Besides, the government will start the process of filling up the remaining vacancies in the state government. It was decided in a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister.

Out of total 3.99 lakh sanctioned posts, about 1.32 lakh posts are lying vacant in odisha government.

In its election manifesto, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised filling up government sector positions.

“We will ensure recruitment to 1.5 lakh vacant government posts in a fair and transparent manner. Recruitment for 65,000 posts will be completed in two years. We will fill the vacancies for Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) on the priority basis,” the manifesto says.
