Prayagraj: Mauni Amavasya, considered the most significant day of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, is just around the corner on January 29, 2025.
As pilgrims from across the globe eagerly await to take a dip in the holy confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers at Prayagraj, the administration is leaving no stone unturned in its preparations.
Vehicle movement within the mela area has been completely restricted, and several other restrictions have been imposed in the city. Despite these restrictions, the weary pilgrims arriving at the mela area are welcomed with the Adani-ISKCON Maha Prasad.Pilgrims arriving in Prayagraj by bus from cities like Lucknow, Delhi, Ranchi, Sambalpur, and other parts of the country have to rely on e-rickshaws, city buses, or tempos to reach the mela area. These vehicles drop passengers at the toll plaza or the new bridge, after a 2-kilometer walk the actual mela area begins.
Similarly, those arriving by train usually alight at Naini Junction or Prayagraj Junction. Several special Kumbh trains have been operated to facilitate the influx of pilgrims.
Most pilgrims have expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, stating that the delicious Maha Prasad after a 5–6-kilometer walk has made their day.
Saudamini Behera, a pilgrim from Sambalpur, Odisha, enjoyed the Adani-ISKCON Maha Prasad near the railway station.
She shared that she and her six companions were feeling hungry when they came across the Maha Prasad stall. The food was not only delicious but also nutritious and served with the utmost cleanliness. The experience of receiving the Prasad was truly wonderful.
It’s worth noting that the Adani Group, in collaboration with ISKCON, has set a target of providing Maha Prasad to 1 lakh pilgrims daily during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj. Three dedicated Adani-ISKCON kitchens within the mela area are working round the clock to prepare and distribute food. Additionally, the Adani Group, in partnership with Gita Press, the world’s largest publisher of Hindu religious literature, is distributing 1 crore copies of the ‘Aarti Sangrah’.
