Odisha govt halts admissions to B.Ed., B.H.Ed. and M.Ed. courses for 2025-26

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a temporary suspension of all admission processes for the academic year 2025-26 for the following teacher education programmes: two-year B.Ed. (Arts/Science), B.H.Ed., and M.Ed.

The suspension follows allegations of discrepancies in entrance examination scores. In response, the State Selection Board has formed subject-specific expert committees to re-verify the answer keys.

A notification from the Higher Education Department stated:

“All admission activities for the mentioned courses are hereby temporarily suspended until the re-verification process is completed. The revised admission schedule will be published on the SAMS portal (https://te.samsodisha.gov.in/) and in leading newspapers. Students and institutions are advised to refer only to official sources for updates.”

The move aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the admission process.
