Jio adds highest new subscribers in Odisha in June: TRAI report


Bhubaneswar: Further solidifying its market leadership as the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha, Reliance Jio added the highest new subscribers in Odisha in the month of June 2025.

As per the latest telecom subscription data, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio added over 1.18 lakh new subscribers in Odisha, in June, spanning wireless, wireline and 5G FWA segments. As per the data, Jio added the over 97 lakh new mobile subscribers and over 21 thousand new JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in Odisha in June.

Jio continue to lead the wireless, wireline and 5G FWA market in Odisha with over 1.63 crore mobile subscribers, over 3.4 lakhs JioFiber subscribers and over 1.94 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers in the state experiencing digital life on Jio network.

As per the data, total mobile subscribers in Odisha increased by over 73 thousand in June and crossed 3.53 crores. Jio added the highest 97 thousand new mobile subscribers in June, followed by VI which added just 4576 new mobile subscribers.

Among others, Airtel lost over 12 thousand subscribers and BSNL lost over 16 thousand subscribers in the state, in June. Nationally, Jio also added the highest over 19 lakh new mobile subscribers in June. Also, Jio’s popular FWA service ‘JioAirFiber’ has now become the largest FWA provider in the world with over 74 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers in the country.

It is worth mentioning that Reliance Jio crossed a significant milestone of over 5 lakh JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in Odisha, in May 2025.

Jio has been Odisha’s most preferred digital service provider in wireless, wireline and 5G FWA segments in the state, with over 46 percent mobile subscriber market share, over 50 percent wireline subscriber market share and around 84 percent 5G FWA subscriber market share. This has been fuelled by Jio’s extensive 4G and 5G network presence across the state.
