Bhubaneswar: Further solidifying its market leadership as the No. 1 digital service provider in the state, Reliance Jio has added the highest over 1.67 lakh new mobile subscribers and over 27000 new home broadband subscribers in Odisha in the month of October 2025.
As per the latest telecom subscription data, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio continues to be the most preferred digital service provider in Odisha and added over 1.67 lakh new mobile subscribers in October, while both Airtel and BSNL lost thousands of mobile subscribers in the state, in the same period.
With this stellar performance, Jio further consolidated its market leadership in the state with over 1.69 crore mobile subscribers and over 47 percent mobile subscriber market share, as of October 31, 2025. This milestone has been powered by the unmatched consumer trust in Jio’s services and the technological superiority of its all-IP 4G and True 5G networks across the state. The ultra-affordable JioBharat 4G phone, also enabled thousands of 2G customers to upgrade to 4G, particularly in rural and remote regions across Odisha.
As per the TRAI data, the total number of mobile subscribers in Odisha increased by over 1.59 lakhs in October and crossed 3.59 crores as of 31st October 2025. Nationally, Reliance Jio led India’s telecom growth in October 2025, adding 1.6× more subscribers than Airtel and expanding its market share to 41.4%. It topped in active users, wireline, and broadband segments, driven by JioAirFiber and 5G rollout, reinforcing its position as the key driver of India’s digital transformation.
Jio also continued to dominate the home broadband segment in Odisha, adding over 27000 JioFIber and JioAirFiber subscribers in October. The total number of home broadband subscribers on Jio network in the state crossed 6.4 lakhs as of October 31st. JioAirFiber alone witnessed over 20000 new subscribers joining Jio 5G FWA and UBR FWA service in this month.
