Maoists Seek Cease Work At Lower Suktel Project

BOLANGIR: Maoists belonging to Bolangir-Bargarh –Mahasmund division in Odisha have once again tried to assert their presence by demanding to stop construction work of Lower Suktel project in Bolangir district and Pujaripali dam in Bargarh district.

By putting up posters at several locations in Bolangir, they have urged people to support their Bandh call on May 10.

However, there was no response to Bandh call announced in the poster by Maoist in Bolangir district.

Their other demands include save Gandhmardhan, stop displacement, stop construction of large dams, stop acquiring the land of farmers and protect forest and environment.
