8 Lakh Youth To Get Skill Development Training In 3 Years In Odisha


BHUBANESWAR: The state government on Friday launched Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) aiming to impart training to 8 lakh youth in next three years.

With the launching of OSDA, the capital city saw a congregation of more than 500 skilled professionals from the entire state.

A technical exhibition was also inaugurated by Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sanjay Kumar Das Burma.

Different technical skill based stalls were set up. ITIs and other technical institutions displayed their technical prowess in various skill-based fields.

Subroto Bagchi, Chairman of OSDA, spoke on the professionalism that a technical worker should possess to become a skilled professional.

Besides, Padma Sri Sudarsan Pattnaik spoke about his humble beginning and his foray into sand art.

Similarly, Munni Tigga, a loco-pilot and skilled ITI technician like Nunnaram Hansda spoke on their journey to become skilled professional.
