4 Arrested In Bank Robbery

BALASORE: The Remuna police have arrested four persons in connection with a  robbery that took place on July 8.

The accused persons have been identified as Jayant Singh, Chinmay Saw, Dillip Behera and Sanjay Jena.

The accused were forwarded to court on Monday after being booked under Section 394 of IPC, said Surendra Nayak, IIC Remuna police station.

Notably, the miscreants attacked Kulbir Singh, a labour contractor of Emami Paper Mills, while he was coming out from the State Bank of India, Balagopalpur branch. They also attacked Debasis Das, another staff of Emami Paper Mills.

The accused also snatched Rs 4.7 lakh from them, said police.

Nayak said they had seized Rs 10,000 cash and two motorbikes.
