Kalinga Sena Threatens To Distribute Water Bottles During India-England Match

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Sena, a political outfit, on Saturday warned that it would distribute 20,000 drinking water bottles during India-England ODI match at Barabati stadium in Cuttack.

The ODI match would be held in December.

Kalinga Sena chief Hemant Rath said the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) would provide polluted water to the audience during the match that would spread jaundice like diseases among the people.

He said the party would distribute water bottles to the audience in the galleries of the Barabati stadium.

OCA has banned entering of water bottles into the stadium for the safety of players.

Notably, spectators from the visitors’ gallery had thrown water bottles onto the field during the Twenty20 International match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium on October 5 last year. They threw water bottles after being disappointed by the poor performance of the Indian Team.
