108 Ambulance Leaves 7-year Girl Midway After Death

Bhubaneswar: While the Dana Majhi incident has not faded from the mind of people, another shocking incident has taken place in Odisha’s Malkangiri district where an ambulance driver left a 7-year-old girl midway after the child died.

The ambulance was carrying the child to Malkangiri district headquarters hospital from Mathili hospital.

“We were going on a 108 ambulance to Malkangiri hospital after our child was shifted from Mathili hospital. However, the ambulance driver asked us to get off midway after our daughter died,” said the father of the deceased boy.

The 108 ambulance left the 7-year-old child midway after the child died at Nayakguda in Malkanagiri.

District Collector K. Sudarshan Chakrabarty said a FIR had been lodged against the driver following the incident.

“This is totally insensitive. The driver should not suppose to do this,” said the district collector.
