SUM Hospital Fire Mishap: Union Health Minister To Visit Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Union Health minister J.P Nadda will visit Odisha on Wednesday to take stock of the situation arising out of hospital fire tragedy that happened on Monday evening.

The fire tragedy at SUM hospital in Bhubaneswar killed 20 persons while several injured.

The minister will hold a review meeting with the central and state government health officials on the latest situation immediately after arriving from New Delhi at 10 am on Wednesday.

Nadda will also visit AIIMS, Bhubaneswar to supervise the treatment of injured persons in the fire tragedy before leaving Delhi in the afternoon, said a release.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed Nadda to monitor the situation and provide all support to the state government for treatment of injured patients.
