Airport Business District To Generate 35K Employment In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has planned to develop an airport business district near Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

The proposal of AAI for the development of airport business district would come up over 60-acre land.

It was discussed at a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary AP Padhi, which was attended by AAI chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra.

It is expected that development of this area would bring about Rs.20,000 crore to Rs.25,000 crore investment to the city and would generate employment opportunities for about 35,000 persons.

Chief Secretary Padhi advised the AAI to prepare the specific proposal for this in consultation with BDA for consideration of the government.
