CHSE Plus Two Science results out

Bhubaneswar: A total 81.11 percent students successfully cleared this year’s plus two examinations in Science stream in Odisha, results of which were announced on Friday.

However, only 27 students scored 90% or above in the Plus II Science examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). They include 18 boys and nine girls.

While total 90,643 candidates had appeared the examination in science, 73,523 cleared it recording a pass percentage of 81.11, School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said.

As many as 19,087 students cleared the test in 1st division, 26,322 students in second division while 27,597 students passed in third division. Girls have surpassed the boys registering 82.36 pass percentage in comparison to the boys at 80.29.

Balasore district with a pass percentage of 93.61% registered the best pass percentage while Jharsuguda remained on the bottom (52.51%) for third year in a row. Pass percentage in Jharsuguda declined further from last year’s 53.87%.
