Tigress Rebati dies at Nandankanan Zoological Park

Bhubaneswar: Rebati, a tigress, lodged at Nandankanan Zoological Park here died of old age complications on Wednesday morning.
It died at around 5:30 am. Rebati was born to Rohit and Shailaza in 1999.

Rebati was not well for the last two months due to old age and had reduced food intake in the last few days.The animal was undergoing treatment at the ICU of the zoo’s veterinary hospital, said a Nandankanan Zoo official.

The number of tigers in Nandankanan zoo has reduced to 24, which includes 16 normal coloured and eight white tigers. The number of the tigress in the zoo stands at 12.
