Odisha govt hikes salary of Professors in govt medical colleges

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday hiked salary of contractual medical teachers posted in various government medical colleges.

It has hiked the salary of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors posted in various government medical colleges.

While the salary of Professors has been hiked from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh, the salary of Associate Professors has been increased from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1 lakh, said a release.

The government has hiked the salary of Assistant Professors from Rs 60,000 to Rs 75,000.

Besides, they will get an annual hike of 3% for satisfactory performance.
