Selfie death: Mother, son from Andhra Pradesh feared drown in Nagavali

Bhubaneswar: Taking selfie has proved fatal for mother and son in Odisha. A woman and her son feared drowned in Nagabali river after they fell off a hanging bridge while taking selfie over the river in Rayagada district on Tuesday.

They lost their balance while clicking ‘selfie’ on their phone, said sources.

The deceased belonged to Parvathipuram area in Andhra Pradesh. They fell off the bridge while taking a selfie and drowned in the in the river.

On being informed, fire personnel rushed to the spot and started the search operation. They are yet to trace the missing mother-son duo.

Last year two women also from Andhra Pradesh lost their lives after falling off the hanging bridge built over Nagabali river while clicking a selfie.
