Pandian, not Patnaik, call the shorts in BJD: Hema Gamang

Bhubaneswar: Former Lok Sabha MP and BJD leader Hema Gamang on Wednesday revolted against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his private secretary V. Karthikeyan Pandian.

Gamang said it is Pandian, not Patnaik, who call the shorts in the BJD.

“Party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik doesn’t understand anything. It is Pandian who calls the shots and listens to people who pay him,” she alleged.

“BJD does not treat anyone well. Whoever joins the party, feels suffocated. Sane voices are being suffocated in the party,” said Gamang.

Hema Gamang, the wife of former Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang, urged her supporters to start a movement against BJD in Rayagada for ignoring the just demands of people.

She also confirmed that she would meet Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requesting him to address the problems.

On the other hand, suspended BJD MP Baijayant Panda tweeted, “Now political leaders one after another are breaking the silence and common people understand what’s going on.”

Panda was suspended from BJD’s primary membership for anti-party activities. He had been attacking the third floor (Chief Minister’s Office) for the involvement of bureaucrats in party affairs.
