BMC Mayor sex video: Police give clean chit to Jena

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has given clean chit to Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena in engineering student Ashutosh Mohanty alias Rishi death case and controversial sex video.

The Commissionerate police in its six-page report submitted to Odisha Human Rights Commission here on Wednesday made it clear that Jena has no direct or indirect link with the controversial sex video, which had alleged connection in the death of Rishi.

The police had sent the mobile phone of Rishi to the Kolkata-based forensic laboratory for examination after a sex video purportedly featuring Mayor with a woman went viral on media.

However, police found no evidence against Jena in the sex video.

The police in the report said that Rishi died due to excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs.

However, controversy erupted over the death of Rishi after a controversial sex videotape went viral featuring Jena and a woman. The opposition members and others claimed that the videotape was linked with the death of Rishi.
