Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday released 39.36 crore as agriculture input subsidy for storm hit Sonepur and Bargarh districts.
Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi released Rs.3.36 crore and Rs.36 crore for Sonepur and Bargarh district respectively in advance so that the administration can pay agriculture input subsidy to the disaster victims immediately after assessment.
This includes Rs.18 lakh for Bargarh district towards house building assistance based on their preliminary reports, said an official statement.
The concerned district collectors will disburse the assistance immediately on completion of the assessment, it added.
“In case further fund is required after completion of the assessment, they can send the requisition. In case there are some savings, they will refund,” the statement said.
