4 arrested for gang-raping a tribal girl in Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar: Four persons, including a juvenile, were arrested for allegedly gangraping a minor tribal girl at a forest in Odisha’s Kandhamal district, said police on Monday.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the girl was returning from watching a melody show on Sunday night.

She was waiting for a bus to her home when four youths, known to her, came in an auto-rickshaw and offered her a lift.

The four allegedly took her to a nearby jungle and raped her in turns, leaving her shattered there, said police.
