GPM workers’ strike hit Paradip Port operation

Bhubaneswar: Work in the Paradip Port has been severely affected as GPM workers have resorted to a strike on Saturday.

The General Purpose Mazdoors (GPMs) sat on a demonstration in front of the GPM pool office demanding fulfilment of their eight demands.

The GPMs work under the Paradip Port Stevedores.

Due to the dharna, the work in the Paradip Port prohibited zone has been severely hit, said sources.

CISF personnel have been deployed at the agitation site, said reports.
