Bhubaneswar: The State Selection Board, Odisha Police has invited applications to fill up 3743 Civil Constable, Sepoy and Constable posts in 17 battalions and 35 establishments.
While 1722 Civil Constable posts are open in 35 establishments, 2021 posts of Sepoys/Constables in 17 battalions.
The last date for the application to reach the concerned authorities is July 26. Physical Measurement and Efficiency Tests will be conducted from August 6, said a notification.

According to the notification, the offline applications are to be sent to the concerned Superintendent of Police of the Districts as well as Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar.
The appointment to the posts shall be made on a contractual basis and consolidated monthly remuneration initially, it said.
All the applicants other than the candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to pay Rs 150 examination fee which is to be sent in shape of a bank draft or postal order.
The age limit is 18 years to 23 years as on January 1, 2018 (upper age relaxation in case of SC, ST and SEBC is up to 5 years).
Candidates must have passed +2 examination conducted by a recognized council or board. A candidate must have passed Odia as one of the subjects in High School Certificate Examination or equivalent and should be able to speak, read and write Odia language in order to be eligible to appear for the constable recruitment.
Other eligibility criteria including the minimum physical standards and marks distribution are given in the official notification

Candidates must have passed high school examination or equivalent examination with Odia language as one of the subjects. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.
The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and more than 23 years as 01.01.2018 (upper age relaxation in case of SC, ST and SEBC is up to 5 years).
